Due to its shimmering golden color, pyrite was sometimes mistaken for gold in the past. The name comes from Greek and means "of fire". It refers to its property of striking sparks. Pyrite is a flint that was used as a fire starter with tinder in the Stone Age. Therefore, pyrite has always been associated with energy & strength.

 

As the only gemstone, tourmaline comes in more than 50 different color shades. Black tourmaline is considered a very special protective stone against negative energies and intentions.
